Join us at the North Carolina Research Campus in Kannapolis for a scientific showcase featuring participants of the Plant Pathways Elucidation Project (P2EP), who will present their research addressing real-world human health and agricultural issues.

P2EP is a dynamic, multi-institutional, public/private team approach deeply invested in education that leverages state-of-the-art plant systems biology and statistical genomics to develop plants and plant products to enhance human health. It is a groundbreaking program, established in 2013 and initially funded at $1.9 million to engage college students from across North Carolina in a first-of-its-kind education and research endeavor. The program continues to be fueled by one of the largest consortiums of academic and industry organizations ever assembled at the N.C. Research Campus. P2EP teams up university scientists, industry leaders and college students who together explore plant pathways to answer why and how plants, like fruits and vegetables, benefit human health.

Science students from N.C. colleges and universities gain research experience in a multidisciplinary, collaborative environment – one-of-a-kind scientific research opportunities – which better prepares them for successful STEM careers.

The annual symposium provides a forum for undergraduate students, graduate mentors, and principal investigators to present their research.  A detailed agenda will be published once available.

Free parking is available in adjacent parking lots and in marked spaces along the street.
