About
Mannie Dalton Crone joined NCBiotech in September 2022 as a Research Analyst. She conducts scientific literature searches and provides competitive intelligence in support of advancing innovation. Mannie has been a librarian in North Carolina since 2011, working in various library settings and roles – from school media centers to public libraries, where she worked as a library branch manager and then as an assistant library director of a county system. Playing a part in connecting people with the information that will aid them in their endeavors or help them to learn or discover something new is what motivates her the most. She holds an MLS degree from Appalachian State University and earned a Post-Master’s Certificate in Digital Librarianship from North Carolina Central University in 2021. She worked for NCBiotech’s Life Science Intelligence team as a Database Management Intern while in the NCCU program and became inspired by what NCBiotech does to grow the life sciences industry in her home state and beyond.
