Chris is a public relations and journalism veteran who joined NCBiotech in May 2023. He is responsible for public and media relations, NCBiotech.org's industry news content, and helping the organization articulate North Carolina’s position as a leading life sciences hub.
Chris has more than 20 years of public relations experience in healthcare, science, and financial services. Most recently, Chris worked for over a decade at RELX, managing public relations for Elsevier's healthcare technology business in New York and corporate communications at LexisNexis Legal & Professional in Raleigh. Prior to his PR experience, he was an award-winning newspaper reporter.
He grew up in Southern California and went to college in New England, where he lived for 30+ years. He moved to Raleigh in July 2020 and recently settled in Fuquay-Varina.
