Triangle Virology Association
This group brings together virologists from companies, universities and government agencies throughout North Carolina to discuss the latest developments in basic and applied research. Meetings focus on the application of virology to the development of human therapeutics and agricultural products. Meetings include member presentations and talks from national guest speakers.
Corporate sponsors are GlaxoSmithKline, AlphaVax and Trimeris.
- The Triangle Virology Association meets on selected Tuesday evenings during the school year from 5 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. at the North Carolina Biotechnology Center. Our meetings usually include one local speaker and one outside speaker.
- Every other year we put on a half-day Virology Symposium at the Biotech Center. Our last Symposium was Spring 2008.
- We are supported by The North Carolina Biotechnology Center and donations from companies in the Reseach Triangle Park.
- We have been meeting continuously since 1985.
