This project is to understand how PtdInsP2 synthesis is regulated during cotton fiber development. We propose to identify interacting partners of the two key regulatory enzymes involved in PtdInsP2 biosynthesis. The long-term goal is to identify genetic targets that can be manipulated in order to improve cotton fiber characteristics
