The installation of a newly developed recycling system to trap evaporating liquid helium and nitrogen used to maintain superconducting temperatures in the imaging and spectroscopy magnet at the Marine Magnetic Resonance Facility will reduce helium and nitrogen use, the major cost of operating the magnet, by at least 90 percent and ensure a steady supply of the sometimes hard to get gases.
