Carbon nanotubes (CNT) are widely used in nanobiotechnology, but may present health risks, especially in susceptible individuals. This study will use inhalation exposure of CNT at occupationally relevant levels to determine appropriate mouse models, and identify susceptibility genes involved in CNT-induced lung disease that may be investigated as therapeutic targets.
