Peanut allergies are a severe and lifelong type of food allergy triggered by allergenic proteins and peptides in peanuts. Thirteen such proteins from peanuts have been identified. It is logical that reducing the levels of these allergens in peanuts and peanut derivatives will reduce the allergenicity of peanuts.
