North Carolina displayed a variety of biotechnology products last week at the BIOtech 2014 trade show in Tokyo.

Hoping to expand their business reach in Japan, representatives from Catalent, Crawford Composites, EOS Remediation, Fujifilm Diosynth, Patheon, PPD and Xanofi joined representatives from the North Carolina Department of Commerce International Trade Division at the show.

More than 10,000 people from over 25 countries attended the event.

Xanofi, a Raleigh nanomaterial company specializing in rapid product development, Tokused the show to announce the global release of its XanoMatrix, a suite of next-generation 3D cell culturing products. XanoMatrix can be used in a wide range of cell growth applications, from fixed bed reactors, regenerative medicine applications, laboratory plate culturing, in vitro cancer work, and more.

On the heels of showing the products at BIOtech 2014, Xanofi plans to display them at the BIO International Convention, running June 23-26 in San Diego. Pete Geisen, Xanofi vice president of product development, will demonstrate the product's capabilities with a "3D Cell Culturing" presentation at the North Carolina Pavilion (#1727) at 2:30 p.m. PST Wednesday, June 24 and 11 a.m. PST Thursday, June 25.
