John C. Rabby
Mr. Rabby attended Mississippi State University where he received a BA in entomology and MA in integrated pest management. He joined American Cyanamid as a field agriculturalist in January 1980 with a focus on agricultural product field development.
He moved into business development in 1985, working on imidazolinone herbicide chemistry. In 1988 he took over the specialty products business unit for American Cyanamid. In 1990 he moved to the business director’s role, overseeing the grass herbicide and insecticide business units. After American Cyanamid’s purchase of the Shell International Agrochemical Division in 1994, Mr. Rabby was named vice president of the international division responsible for Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
In 1999 he returned to the U.S. as VP and general manager of North America for American Cyanamid. In 2000, with the purchase of American Cyanamid by BASF, he was named group vice president for the BASF Agricultural North America division based in the Research Triangle Park. In 2003 Mr. Rabby joined Makhteshim Agan North America as CEO and president of the North American business unit and a global director on the executive board.
In 2010 he formed RE LLC where, as president, he has overseen numerous global agricultural projects. In 2016 he assumed the commercial lead position with AgBiome Innovations in RTP.
He is has served as president of the Chemical Producers and Distributors Association and spent several years on the Crop Life America executive board. He is a current board member of SePRO Inc., and a board advisor to several other global agricultural companies.
He is married, has three children, and resides in Wake Forest, N.C.
