Elizabeth is responsible for NCBiotech’s online strategy, implemented through the website, email communications and social media accounts. She distributes content online and works with Center staff on content creation and distribution of branded materials.  Fostering online community development with economic development, business and scientific constituents is crucial to NCBiotech's mission and she leads that effort.

Previously, Elizabeth served on the NCBiotech Corporate Communications team as Communications Specialist. Before joining the Center in 2012, she worked at the North Carolina Department of Commerce in the Marketing & Customer Services Division. There she assisted in all marketing initiatives driving business and revenue to the State of North Carolina.

Elizabeth is a 2007 graduate of Peace College (now William Peace University) with a bachelor of arts degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing.


As I flip - make that scroll - through my notes pages from this week’s Internet Summit I am reminded of the many speakers who captured and held my attention for the entire two-day conference in downtown Raleigh. I was so impressed with the variety of the sessions as well as the marketing and tech professionals who delivered them. Some of my favorites included sessions by LinkedIn, Emma, Google, Salesforce, Ntara, NASCAR and Litmus to name only a few!

Bayer CropScience had much to celebrate today as it expanded its research and development efforts with a new breeding station in Eastern North Carolina.

The Breeding and Trait Development Station at Pikeville is the first of several being established by the company throughout North and South America. It's also unique because it combines work on two crops – cotton and soybeans.
