As part of the Business and Technology Development team, Gaster manages the Life Science Business Development Professionals of NC (LSBDP) networking group, NC Business Development Initiative (NCBDI), Life Science Entrepreneurial Network (LEN) and Wet Lab Facilities projects. Gaster is the primary contact for any company applying for a Biotechnology Center loan.
Gaster is Director of Sponsorship of the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association, RTP Chapter. She also serves on the steering committee for the Life Science Business Development Professionals of NC (LSBDP) and the board for Increased Mobility and Greater Independence Equipment (IMAGINE).
She joined the Biotechnology Center in 1992 and held many positions, including Database Administrator, prior to joining the BTD team. She is a Notary and a Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator.
